Privacy policy

KeyVolt (“we,” “us”) is a product of ProjectThunder.com, Inc. This policy describes what information we collect through the KeyVolt website (keyvolt.us) and the KeyVolt application for BigCommerce, and how we handle it.

Information we collect

• Contact form data. If you contact us, we collect the name, email, company, store URL, and message you provide, solely to respond to you.
• Store connection data. When a merchant installs the KeyVolt app, we receive store-scoped credentials from BigCommerce (a store identifier and access token) that let the app operate on that store. Tokens are stored keyed to the store, encrypted in transit, and removed when the app is uninstalled.
• Order and fulfillment data. To fulfill software license orders, we process order details (order ID, purchased SKUs, quantities) and the license keys returned by software vendors. License keys are hashed at rest.
• Usage data. Basic, aggregate analytics about site visits (pages viewed, referrer). We do not sell or share this data for advertising.

Cookies & consent

We keep cookies to a minimum and gate everything optional behind your explicit consent:

• Strictly necessary. A security (anti-forgery) cookie protects form submissions from cross-site attacks. It contains no personal information, does not track you, and cannot be disabled because the contact form would stop working safely without it.
• Analytics (optional, off by default). Anonymous usage analytics load only if you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner. If you decline — or say nothing — no analytics run and no analytics cookies are set.
• Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a decline automatically and won’t show you the banner.
• Changing your mind. Use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page to reopen the choice at any time.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your data. Ever.
• We do not use your customers’ information for marketing.
• We do not store payment card data — payments are handled by BigCommerce and its payment providers.

How we share information

We share data only where fulfillment requires it: purchased SKU and quantity details are sent to the relevant software vendor or distributor to provision the licenses you sell. We use reputable infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email) bound by their own confidentiality obligations.

Retention

Order and license records are retained while your account is active so your customers’ license history remains available. If you uninstall KeyVolt, store credentials are deactivated immediately; historical records are retained or deleted per your written request.

Security

Per-store OAuth credentials with least-privilege scopes, license keys hashed at rest, TLS everywhere in transit, and audited access to production systems.

Your rights

You may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We honor applicable rights under US state privacy laws.
